Whilst at home with the radio turned on, listening to a item that literally stopped me in my tracks.
Imagine contracting Coronavirus and suddenly finding yourself in hospital alone and scared. No family or friends allowed to visit and the world had suddenly become a very frightening and lonely place.
On the radio in Edinburgh a lovely lady has been crowd funding for IPads for the sick to connect with their loved ones or in the saddest of cases for their families to actually say goodbye. Many hospitals already have iPads but many don’t have enough so are limited in the time patients get to talk to their loved ones.
I couldn’t let this go, so Ive decided to crowdfund myself for one maybe two iPads for our local hospital‘s Covid ward ready for the second wave.
Please please no matter how small, donate as much as you can. Let’s try and bridge that gap by using technology and allowing loved ones to reconnect during the darkest of times.
Crowdfunding is making it 100% free for crowdfunding projects during the coronavirus crisis.
These are unprecedented times but together, we are stronger, and the response is coming from communities across the country.
