In July we will be putting on our very first concerts in Crediton and Cirencester. The money that we raise will go towards the costs of buying/hiring music, covering certain venue costs and travel expenses.
The Amariah Consort was founded in November 2018 by Esmee Dickenson in order to participate in the Music For Youth Festival. The group is made up of eight young singers plucked from various cathedral choirs and is directed by Chris Why.
The concerts will be taking place on the 19th of July in Cirencester and on the 20th in Crediton. The concerts will include music by English composers who were/are at the forefront of their respective periods, from the Renaissance to modern day, including Sheppard's Media Vita and Howells' Requiem.
