UWE Graphic Design Publication - Search for New
We did it
On 16th April 2018 we successfully raised £234 with 20 supporters in 28 days

To raise enough to publish our Graphic Design 3rd year publication and then host a launch night for everyone!

by UWE Graphic Design in Bristol, Bristol, England

Hi there! We are a group of third-year Graphic Design studying at the University of the West of England in Bristol. We would really like to raise enough to make our vision a reality and take our third-year publication to print, a corresponding website and then an event in central Bristol to launch it.

Each year our course produces a publication, in previous years it has been very successful, earning an ISTD professional award in 2014 and shortlisted for the Design Observers 50 best books in 2015.

We are grateful for any donations that you can give and we'd love to invite you to our launch in May. Building up to the event we will also various other fundraiser events including a Quiz Show & Raffle on the 27th of March and the Love Inn.

If you are interested in sponsoring the publication please get in touch to hear the benefits: uwe.publication@gmail.com

A critique on billboard advertising.

“Once in a generation a book comes along and it changes everything. This is that book.”                                                          (5 stars - The Daily Male)*

“Before this Book I was a sad loser with no friends”                                                                                                                                (Lisa, 45, Kent)*

“I was laughing, I was crying, I was screaming. Wow, what a book!”                                                                                                  (32 stars - The Yellegraph)*

“Not only did this book help me lose weight but it also cured my impotence! I didn’t think such a thing was possible.”   (Some guy 26, Bristol)

Ever read Society of the Spectacle by Guy Debord? No? Well, now you don’t even have to. Thanks to a group of soon to be Graphic Design graduates you can now access Debord’s iconic critical theory without sitting there decoding his analogy feeling like a idiot. And, well if you have read Society of the Spectacle then there is no longer a need to read it again.

We are constantly bombarded by spectacular images, we have no choice in the matter however we do have a choice as to how we interpret that information. Advertising feeds us false promises and ideologies, tells us how to live and how to behave. This book will help you to remove those rose tinted spectacles revealing the truth behind that glossy advertising glow. However this could all just be another false promise…

You are living in the glorious world of consumption and isn’t it fantastic.

This book could be dynamic, could be an experience, could be satirical,  could be the spectacle it could also change your life but it also might be a dead-boring book, who knows? But why not check it out and judge it yourself

Go get your copy NOW!

Why are you still sitting on your sofa? Get out, get out now!

*False promises.

**terms and conditions apply, probably won’t get a free gift. Unless you buy 10 copies (even though the book is free) and send the coupons to the address which isn't below.

This project offers rewards in return for your donation.
