We wish to raise money to buy comfortable chairs and light weight tables to make our hall comfortable, inviting, bright andwelcoming.
The hall plays a pivotal role in our Community. The hall is popular being rustic and unique with a small stage, backstage changing/storage area, very good acoustics, blackout and kitchen facilities. It is suitable for the smaller groups and audiences, up to 100.
The stone hall was built in 1906, with brick extensions added in 1954 housing the kitchen, small stage, backstage changing/storage area and three small toilets with no hot hand wash facilities. We have been fundraising for two years raising the money required to carry out improvement works to make the hall DDA compliant and suitable for the next 100 years for all abilities in the community to use and enjoy.
Our fundraising has been successful thanks to the support , advice and help from members of the Community in the filling in of Applications to supporting our various events from Scots Nights, Whist Drives, Strawberry Teas, Coffee Mornings, Indoor Boot Sale and our Sunshine Stall at Riverside Fete for the opening of the Comrie Fortnight.
A Big Thank You to the various Trusts and Grant Funders that have accepted our applications and given us the main money to carry out our Improvement Projects.
Our Improvement works include insulating all walls, roofs and ceilings. Installing double glazed window units, fire doors, an efficient heating system , all abilities toilets and access suitable for all .
