I have always preferred community fitness over gym environments and already coach a number of women who have this same preference. Whether it's because they feel intimidated, lack confidence or don't like the range of classes available, my goal is to offer a safe space for my local ladies to come and find some fab new friends, get fitter and enjoy fitness.
I have danced for 20 years and over the last 7 have leaned even more into fitness. Because of this I particularly love dance fitness programmes and just with what I already coach, have seen massive differences in body composition, fitness and confidence of my ladies.
My goal with this is to do 2 more trainings which would be great to bring to my community, with one of them already having a waiting list of people ready to start once I can get up and running. The remaining amount will enables me to purchase the props and materials needed for each class so they can be opened up to more people.
My future goal will be to open a studio dedicated to community fitness classes, with occasional personal training if people want it, but no hard selling of it.
As a recently appointed Community Fitness Ambassador for the South West I really want to be able to make a huge impact across my area and the wider region, so any support is very much appreciated in getting going with training as soon as possible. My final idea for any remaining funds is to offer 1 person free classes for 3 months who otherwise couldn't afford to attend. Once classes are up and running I will take over this responsibility personally.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and helping bring more dance and fitness opportunities to the South West.
