Community Dance & Performing Arts India Project
We did it
On 25th December 2017 we successfully raised £10 with 1 supporters in 35 days

Raise the funds to provide practical based performance activities for the community of the Ramapir No Tekro slum and of the Gandhi Ashram.

In January 2018 I will be going on a placement trip with Moving Together, in association with De Montfort University, #DMUGlobal and DMU Square Mile. During this trip I aim to provide fun, funky and inspiring dance activities to the people of the Gandhi Ashram and the community of the Ramapir No Tekro slums. I will be working with children and adults to help them develop their creativity and inspire them through the delivery of different performance/dance style activities. This is supported by DMU as a part of the University's commitment to public good, through working with different communities. It is also my chance to gain an experience working within the community dance settings different than what I know as being Eastern European living in the UK. Help me to help those who do not have performing arts on a daily basis. Help me to learn new skills and bring the knowledge back with me. Help me to become a better movement artist, leader and human being.
