  • South Liverpool VIP is a volunteer led grass roots community group. We are based in Garston, Liverpool. We work with older people who have become lonely and isolated, either through the caring role or older age. We work to help older people reconnect, to rebuild a new social network. We encourage older people to volunteer within the organisation, using their life skills to help others. Volunteering is at the heart of our organisation. Our services include a respite breaks programme, away days out of the area, care and share lunches, one to one, group and telephone support. We also encourage befriending within the organisation. We find it heart warming to watch older people become more confident with increased self esteem as they become more involved and begin to feel part of the organisation. We raise our own funds through bids to charities, we also have our own in-house fundraising activities and we raise funds for other charities that our group choose, at present we are raising funds for Cancer research, we do this to give a little back. We hope that you may like to help us continue with our work, by making a donation to help us secure our rent for another year. Thank you for reading.
