We hear it in the news every day, how the pandemic has affected the younger generation. How their mental well being is the one that is suffering.
I have 2 children myself and saw how the lockdown affected them. Even though my children understood what was happening, well, the best they could, others knew no different. Yet, they experienced changes - they did not go to toddler groups, play dates etc.
I created a daily journal for my children, nephews, and nieces. It helped them express their emotions and communicate. I have seen how much it has helped them. Now I want to help your children. Children from as young as 3.
I appreciate all children are different. While some have started to write, some won't pick up a pen to write. This journal allows your child to write or draw. Your child can colour to communicate their emotions and connect with you. Or, you can fill it out for them, as long as they express themselves, it doesn't matter who does it, but in time, they will start to.
The simple design encourages your child to fill out the book the way they want to. A few minutes a day is all that is needed. It will help improve focus, self-esteem, and practice their writing, drawing, and/ or colouring.
Currently, there is no journal like this on the market, well not one that I could find.
The journal will have:
15 prompt pages for your child to record their age, their favourite book, favourite colour, what makes them laugh, and much more.
35 daily pages – can be completed whenever your child wants to. It has a section for your child to record their best part of the day, a place to write down funny or cute moments, and lastly a section for your child to express their emotions.
12 age-appropriate colouring and activity pages which explore numbers, shapes, and so much more.
When your child journals, they become more aware of their own feelings and grow more comfortable expressing their thoughts and ideas. Journaling also offers consistency and gives stability to their daily routines.
A journal that allows your child to colour, draw, or write.
The 6-11 year-old journal goes into depth about emotions, gratitude, and gives them space to grow. This journal also allows your child to colour, draw, or write.
With any money raised, I can print the journals as the design work is all done.
