Raising money to have a new coffee business to employ and train talented, ambitious individuals that just want to do better for themselves.

Growing up in Zimbabwe, I became incredibly passionate about two things: coffee and helping the homeless. THE ORIGINS When I was young, I saw how my mom helped a homeless girl, Chiedza, get back on her feet. She brought her into our home, and helped her secure a safe passage after being made homeless with her two young children by an abusive husband. For me, this was my first vivid memory of human compassion at a young age of 7. Since then, I have wanted to help those I see around me, but had no idea where to start, until now. I love drinking coffee, making coffee, serving coffee and have made my passion my career. I have only ever worked in the sustainable coffee industry with nearly 10 years’ worth of experience. My start up business will combine my two passions but I need your help to make this reality. The business will start humbly, out of one coffee van, which I will initially run myself. Selling good, high quality coffee from sustainable resources with a cause to help the homeless will ensure my business will be a success. The People The short term goal is to help the homeless by giving them care packages from the coffee proceeds. With these care packages, will be essentials for hygiene, a guided map on where to felt shelter locally and food vouchers with supporting local restaurants to ensure that they can find food and have warmth through the cold months. We need to remove the stigma of those in these tough situations….. it could happen to any one of us! I need to do my utmost best to offer help where I can. The long term business model will allow me to not only train the homeless as baristas, but also provide them with employment. Having spoken to helping towards the ending of homelessness with charities such as Crisis UK, I know this is the best way I can help contribute to eradicating homelessness. I believe there is a lot of talent and passion to do better for themselves IF given the second chance and a helping hand. The charities will help provide homes the homeless, and I will give them work and the skills to seek future employment in the coffee industry and beyond. The Coffee Only traceable and ethically sourced coffee and products will be used with this business from the start, with the belief to only use bio-compostable cups and eco-friendly accessories in the business to not only lead by example for our customers, but set an example to our local community to add to our drive to save the planet! The Funding of the Converted Trailer I need to raise £15,000 before September, in order to purchase and convert the trailer into a mobile coffee business, fully sheltered from the elements. Please can you help support my dream to create coffee business with a purpose? Please could you help spread the word of my business by sharing my crowdfunding page on your social media? Our main goal is to create a vehicle to carry people out of homeless one coffee at a time. With your help, I truly believe we can succeed. The Future Homelessness has doubled in the UK since 2010 and this is an increasing problem. With my idea, I believe I have a way of reducing it and proving that there is more to people who are homeless than the stigma that is put on them. I will be doing this by selling amazing high quality ethical coffee. With the vision to grow and help more people in: Year 1 month 10, employ first employee Year 2, attain second trailer and 2nd employee Year 3, establish first fixed brick and mortar site with a team of 5 staff who will be trained and given paid work. Thank you so much for the time you have taken to read my page!
