Earlier this year, Leeds Irish communities delivered over 300 "Craic Packs" to people across Leeds. Each person is nominated by someone who cares about them but who can’t visit themselves just now, to make sure they know that help is always available.
Each packs contains a taste of home with some Irish goodies, and a whole lot of love - including pictures and letters from primary school children, and a postcard with the number to use if they ever need a helping hand or a listening ear.
We have found this is a great way to reach out because any of us could be lonely, feel vulnerable or just need a bit of craic in these troubled times.
Now that Christmas is around the corner, we want to reach out again with a special Christmas Craic Pack!
Our aim is to get Christmas Craic Packs out to about 500 people in Leeds.
You can help by:
- donating some money to help us buy all the right things to make these packs a very special Christmas gift
- donating a wrapped gift, Irish goods or a picture, poem or Christmas card to add into the packs
- nominating someone you think would like to get a Craic Pack. By phone on 07904 246 531 or by email to info@lihh.org
Drop off points are at the Irish Centre on York Road or the Leeds Irish Health and Homes office on Wyther Lane until 10th December- but please call ahead to check so we can make sure we are being Covid-safe.
We’re hoping to get lots of support for this so please help where you can!
