A Christian candidate for Hornsey and Wood Green

by Helen Spiby-Vann in Hornsey and Wood Green, England, United Kingdom

It’s becoming increasingly difficult for Christians and people of faith to express their beliefs whilst being part of a mainstream political party. That’s why I became involved with the Christian Peoples Alliance. I believe there is a place in the political arena for the Christian voice. We have a valuable contribution to make in the life of the nation.

I believe it’s important to advocate for Godly values in society -  this will enable justice, for all to live dignified and prosperous lives. Having a stable economy and applying just tax breaks is great, but our wealth is also built on the way we treat each other. I believe it’s important to protect families by strengthening marriages: break-ups cause poverty for mums and dads and disadvantage for children, as well as increasing the demand for housing, healthcare and state benefit. I believe that Biblical marriage offers the safest setting for adult relationships and the most secure environment to raise a family. It offers women the most humane rights - those that God ordained: to have a devoted and supportive husband, to bear his children and never to be put in the position of having to choose to abort your unborn child. Prosperity is about treating even the most vulnerable amongst us with respect. That’s why I believe it’s important that the Christian voice is heard, because it’s not just an opinion.

Please consider encouraging me in this endeavour. I need to raise the money for my deposit and printing costs. I would be grateful of any amount. If you are able to help me with any aspects of campaigning, I would be very glad to hear from you and of course your prayer is the bedrock of blessing.
