Christ Church New Community Hall

To replace the hall built in 1972 which was a temporary structure with a new hall which will enhance our community facilities

Not quite
Unfortunately this project was not successful.

Our team have been looking to replace the hall for around 5 years. We've looked at different designs and have finally agreed on the one in the picture which has been designed to complement the modernistic church building.

We are all excited that with our new hall we will be able to offer many more facilities than we can now. It will have a state  of the art kitchen and 3 rooms for use by community  groups. The local Rainbows currently struggle with our facilities and so do the many other users.  The current hall is in very poor condition and we are excited that if we continue to fund raise we will achieve our aim in the next year.  We are going to sell a piece of our car park in order to fund the largest sum and we have already raised £55,000.  The total cost is likely to be around £350,000.  We are getting near to the total required and if we just push a little bit more we will achieve our goal.

Even in our old hall we are constantly being asked for use for children's parties and we now have a new quilting group meeting there.  We expect to be able to provide lunches to the elderly and lonely along with facilities for young people.

Let's make 'Christ Church New Community Hall' happen
