I'm fundraising for two charities close to my heart run by people I know and love, so I'm hugely grateful for your donations!
CHIPS are working to bring peace in areas of conflict around the world, including right here in Brixton where they work with young people at risk of getting involved in youth violence.
Peaceful Borders are peacemakers working with refugees at Europe's borders and those who have arrived in the UK, providing emotional and practical support. They began by working in the unofficial "Jungle" refugee camp in Calais and are now supporting those caught up in the ongoing refugee crisis more widely.
They work by accompanying new arrivals, building capacity of those with ideas for peaceful responses to forced displacement, and campaigning for those who have been displaced, particularly unaccompanied children.
If you would like to keep in touch with either of these organisations please sign up to newsletters on their websites or connect via their social channels.
I'll share the money raised between the two charities once it's all collected together.
