Children with Cancer Everest trek

Children with Cancer Everest trek

My friend and I will, in support of the charity Children with Cancer, be undertaking a trek from Kathmandu to Mt. Everest base camp.

Unfortunately, this project was not successful

Hey, my name is Nick Butcher and I'd like to thank you for checking out this project.

My friend Mikey and I hope in August 2017 to undertake a trek to the base camp of Mt. Everest, sight of the famous expedition by Sir Edmund Hillary and company in 1953.

We will be participating in this trek in support of Children with Cancer, a charity which focuses as you might imagine on researching and helping to prevent various forms of cancer in children. Over their 28 years of activity, Children with Cancer have raised over £190 million for cancer research and prevention. For every single pound donated, 80p of it is funnelled directly into medical fields.

Around 4000 young people are diagnosed with cancer every single year in the UK, meaning that ten children every day receive the news that no-one wants to here.

Our goal is to raise £7000 by May 2017, 80% of which will go directly to the charity.

Being able to be a part of this once in a lifetime experience and to show such ardent support for a noble cause would mean everything to Mikey and I, and we hope that you will consider donating any amount that you can.

Thank you, and we hope for your support soon
