We provide support to those who are most in need in our community. Over the last 7 years, we have helped over 8000 people, prevented 1 ton a month of furniture going to landfill, since 2016, set up and managed a successful foodbank, providing over 300 food parcels a week during the pandemic.
We would normally fund raise through a Sleeping Rough campaign, but due to Covid19, we have been unable to do this. Previously, we have been able to provide short term accommodation to rough sleepers when required, putting them up in a local hotel, giving them clean clothes, food and toiletries.
We are a community project and we have a retail outlet on Mill Street, Macclesfield. We collect and deliver furniture from the community; we give this furniture to families in need, or people who have secured a place and need furniture, such as sofas, tables, chairs etc. We also provide small electrical items to help people set up. The retail outlet is also a point of contact for support for the foodbank, counselling, advocacy. The funds raised will go to providing this support to the people in our community.
