Family fun events designed to bring the community together in a relaxed social environment, while recycling preloved goods and items.

We did it!

On 25th Dec 2016 we successfully raised £5 with 1 supporter in 56 days

We hold Cheeki Monkeys BIG Baby & Children's markets across South Birmingham and Coventry, UK. Not only are they fantastic fun events where savvy parents can grab a bargain, they also bring the community together to create a friendly and relaxed social atmosphere! 

We encourage an eco friendly method of recycling unwanted and outgrown toys, books, clothes and games by providing parents with stalls to sell to other local parents. This in turn creates space in the home, as well as saving items from landfill, all whilst making a little extra cash! 

With parents selling to other parents, they can speak to buyers face to face, ask questions about products or items from the people who have used them, and saves on postage costs. Buying from other parents can dramatically cut the costs of raising children, with many quality preloved items selling at 90% off RRP and High Street prices.

Parents are able to socialise with each other, meeting other parents and families from within their communities. By providing free children's entertainment, as well as refreshments, we really want you to make an afternoon of it!

We also support local businesses, giving them an amazing platform to showcase their services and products within their areas.

We have been, and are supported by the local Sainsburys supermarket, Kicks Count Charity (reg no 1145073) plus two local radio stations. Kicks Count Charity are present at every event, and we we have "partnered" with them to support fundraising. Most recently, we were briefly on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire FM, who invites us to promote events live on air. We also have good relations with the Coventry Telegraph, as well as a number of local businesses and services within the communities we host.

Events are held regularly, at least once a month, with a minimum of 15 events per annum. We have been operating since November 2014, and held our first event in May 2015, which proved to be a huge success. Since then, we have successfully built an established business, growing from one location to three different locations, larger venues, introducing new free entertainment and fun for shoppers, more benefits for stallholders, and gaining a loyal following of people, with more joining all the time.

In order to meet the constant increasing demand, we are looking to add more locations, even larger venues, and potentially more events per year. Following research and enquiries, the costs involved with regards to permits, insurances and marketing, have revealed to be greater than anticipated, meaning our growth will not be possible without investment and donations. It is only through your support that we will be able to provide bigger and better community events.
