Chattering Teeth Not Good When Recording for VIPs
We did it
On 1st January 2019 we successfully raised £420 with 16 supporters in 28 days

Our 30-year-old boiler gave up the ghost on the first real frosty morning. We need to install a new one urgently to keep our volunteers warm

Our volunteer readers range from 80 to 16. Some are autistic or have other disabilities. Coming to record in our studios is a great way for them to reduce their isolation while helping visually impaired people access talking newspapers. Having no heating is making this a miserable experience at the moment. We need to raise funding urgently to fit our new boiler before the weather worsens.

We have worked with a local plumber who has advised us of the best boiler we can get for the size of our space.

With 4 studios, event space and offices it is not just a normal household boiler that is needed.

We have now been a week depending on oil-fired heaters and wooly jumpers to keep our team warm while we record. Hopefully, you can help us by supporting this appeal.

Our video shows Iain one of our volunteers reading that days Evening Times newspaper in our second studio.
