Project aim

Making unique bears to help unique people

About the project

Everybody loves a teddy bear! I've been making unique one of a kind teddy bears and bear monsters for the last 2 years but up to now it's only been a hobby, I now want to turn it in to a proper business that I can dedicate 100% of my efforts to, I'm already 100% passionate about it, I absolutely love creating my bears, even though they take days, occasionally weeks to create, I can't think of a more rewarding  job! Seeing a flat piece of fur turn in to a cute little bear always amazes me.

At the moment I'm dividing myself between a part time job and my bear making, meaning I'm limited as to how much time I spend making, but due to lack of funds (and confidence) I'm unable to completely give up my job. At the moment I'm only able to produce maybe one bear a month, I'd like to turn this into 2 bears a week!

Ive been very successful so far selling my Bears, having found a niche market for my unusual, horned little monsters and have picked up a few collectors on the way. My bears are 100% handmade and hand sewn from start to finish, even the eyes and horns are made from scratch and every one is Completely unique.

So how will I help people with this? I want to give a percentage (minimum 10%) of every bear I sell to a charity that is close to my heart, Cancer Research. I lost my grandad 3 years ago to cancer, before this I didn't really have much understanding of the disease, but seeing my wonderful, healthy, fit and happy grandad slowly deteriorate to the point that he couldn't even sit up himself absolutely broke my heart, so the sooner we can cure all kinds of cancer the sooner we won't have to see our loved ones go through what my grandad went through.

So the money raised will help start this business and support me enough to give up my job, become a full time Bear Creator and in turn help a very important charity save people's lives.
