May will see a unique situation in Leeds politics: an “all-out” council election. This means that every councillor in Leeds (3 councillors in the 33 wards that makes up Leeds meaning 99 in total) are up for election.
This give Central & Outer Leeds Green Party (C&OLGP) a fantastic opportunity to get Green Party councillors elected to Leeds City Council.
Ed Carlisle has come a strong second in previous years and, with your help, we can get him elected on Thursday 3rd May.
The Green Party doesn’t have big corporate sponsors - we are a truly Democratic Party where the membership decides how we are run and what our policies are but that means that we rely on members to fund us.
This is why we are asking you to make a contribution to us at this critical time so we can push forward with our campaigning in Hunslet & Riverside and get Ed elected.
A £10 donation from you will allow us to send postal voters a letter.
A £20 donation from you will allow us to leaflet an estate.
A £50 donation from you will allow us to leaflet a whole ward.
Why do we need more Green councillors in Leeds?
Green councillors are a voice for the community. They put the electorate before the party and make the hard decisions that will benefit everyone. No other party is willing to put the environment first.
Please note: Central & Outer Leeds Green Party (formerly known as Leeds Green Party) is the group within the Green Party of England & Wales with responsibility for the parliamentary constituencies of Leeds Central, Leeds East, Leeds North East, Pudsey and Morley & Outwood, and the 20 council wards that make up those constituencies.
If you make a donation in excess of £500, we will need to identify you to the electoral commission or we will have to return your donation. If you are wanting to make a donation of this size, please email email@example.com first. Thank you.
