We need to replace our artificial nets, tree roots have extended across and up under the surfaces making them uneven and dangerous.

by Simon Park in Caythorpe, England, United Kingdom

We are a large club, with 150 junior members, 50 senior members and around 20 volunteers.  The members rely heavily on the practise facilities to train, improve and provide meaningful development opportunities.  Cricket is a game that requires good quality training facilities to help player development,  we can't simply turn up and practise on any old bit of ground,  it has to be flat and dry - wet weather is a cricket killer.

These facilities are expensive, really expensive - we're talking tens of thousands of pounds here,  the club have a substantial amount to put towards as well as borrowing money with no interest charged from the ECB but it's not enough to do the job.

Our volunteers have put in a massive effort to try to get funds from grants with virtually no success, it's just really hard to come by.

And now we need you to help us get the project over the line.  Our 200 members and additional supporters maybe we can raise the money from a simple request, if all 200 member put £25 (not limited to) in we're there!  It's not a lot really to safeguard our ability to practise and coach effectively.

So please donate today, as much as you can, we're not limiting you to £25 that's just a guide.
