Casper the cat is an active 10 year old Persian X. He is full of mischief and always up to no good from drinking out the toilet bowl to peeing on his hoomans beds. However, on the 5th of this month Casper was involved in a freak accident when he slipped off a unit and caught his back leg on a drawer handle. He dangled here for a few minutes twisting and turning to break free. His mum heard his distressed cries and Casper was rescued. Sadly it was clear that he had damaged his leg. He was rushed to the emergency vets in Kilmarnock where he was given pain medication and injections.
The next day after seeing his usual vet the prognosis wasn’t good and amputation was advised. We asked our vet for a second option and the orthopaedic surgeon agreed that with surgery Casper’s leg could be saved. We will Do whatever It takes to have Casper out of pain but at a cost of almost £3,000 the surgery isn’t cheap and sadly as Casper is a house cat we never thought to get him insured. Any contribution to Casper’s surgery and aftercare would be immensely appreciated. I realise that in these difficult and uncertain times not everyone is able to donate but everyone could share this post I will be eternally grateful. Thank you so much for reading . ❤️
