On 31st August 2018 we successfully raised £1,020 with 59 supporters in 28 days

Hi all. We've spent a lot of money on recording this album and we need your support to raise enough money to have it pressed for release.

New stretch target

Should we exceed our target, which would be incredible, we would press a limited quantity of vinyl and some merchandise to be available on a first come first served basis!

Hi everyone. For those of you who know of us then you know who we are. For those of you who don't, we're a struggling band like thousands of others trying to earn an honest crust in the name of art! We've recorded two EPs prior to this, our first full album. We've learned from our mistakes and we're very proud of this recording having spent all our funds on the recording process. We need to raise £1000,00 to enable the album to go to press.

We need physical copies of the album to sell at gigs to promote the band. This album will of course be available for download too in the near future after it's physical release.

For everyone who could pledge £10 we would guarantee a signed copy of the album sent to your home address before any album release date.

The video link above is a song taken from the album, Tales From The Ghost Wood and was filmed at The Grand Theatre in Blackpool.

The band supported Ferocious Dog on part of their 2015 national tour.

We've  also supported Jasmine Morley as part of her National Tour in 2014 and the previous year supported Rita Hosking and Sean Feder from the USA.

In June 2017 we played The Acoustic Festival of Britain alongside acts such as Fairport Convention, Howard Jones and Martin Turners’ Wishbone Ash.

Andy Hughes from Acoustic magazine had this to say about the band’s performance: -

"another fabulous set was delivered by Cartoon Food, whose intelligent songs and cleverly understated composition made them a crowd favourite. Bands like this are what make festivals such a pleasure - they know how to connect with their audience, and the wit and warmth of their songs and chat made them another name for people to seek out for further listening".

Phil Kilner from Knaresborough Feva Festival wrote, -

Really appreciated having you guys perform – we really enjoyed the set, and after ten days of great music including the likes of Larkin Poeand Gilmore & Roberts, it’s Cartoon Food’s music that is running through my head right now – you guys have crafted a bunch of *very* catchy tunes, and you deliver them with great panache”.

With this new album we believe that it can take us to the 'next level' and give us the boost that we desperately need to continue writing and performing our music.

We really appreciate the support of you lovely people out there that have enjoyed  our music over the years.

This project offers rewards in return for your donation.
