Carlisle United FC: Fund a Player
We did it
On 6th February 2017 we successfully raised £9,100 with 339 supporters in 14 days

We're aiming to raise a minimum of £10,000 to help fund an extra couple of players (permanent/loan signings) for Keith Curle.

by Carlisle United Official Supporters Club in Carlisle

Keith Curle is hoping to bring in a couple of new faces either permanently or on loan before the end of the January transfer window which shuts on Tuesday 31st January 2017.

Curle has hinted that a crowd of 6,500 - 7,000 on Saturday 28th January versus Barnet could free up money to bring those players in, suggesting that he requires approximately £10,000 - £20,000 to do so.

So far this transfer window, we've seen Gary Liddle come in, and Macaulay Gillesphey has signed a loan extension; however with many players having already been released from the club, and others being placed on the Transfer List, it is clear that extra faces are needed to help the club push on and achieve promotion from League 2.

We appreciate that many supporters already invest a lot of time and money into Carlisle United; however if you cannot make Saturday's game, but would like to contribute towards Curle's call, then this is the perfect opportunity to do so, knowing that your donation will go directly to funding new player(s).

The minimum period for crowdfunding is 2 weeks, therefore the Project has a deadline of 10:31pm 6th February 2017. Please note however that the transfer deadline ends on Tuesday 31st January at 11pm.

Assuming the minimum £10,000 target is reached, every penny donated by Tuesday 31st January 2017 will be offered to Keith Curle and Carlisle United FC to be spent on either transfer fees and/or wages for permanent or loan signings.

If the minimum £10,000 target is not reached, then your money will not be taken. At this stage, you are simply pledging money.

If for whatever reason, no signings are made before the end of the transfer window, either due to lack of funds, or some other reason, then all funds raised (assuming above the £10,000 minimum target) will be used by CUOSC, during a future transfer window, for player acquisition.

Anyone who wishes to contribute and doesn't have a Paypal account please email and we will help to arrange alternative options. We will also be available to accept donations before the Barnet game on Sat 28th Jan, in the Study Centre (next to the Blues Store) between 1:15pm and 2:45pm.
