We are raising funds for a cleaning product called a fogger so we can safely clean the hall between bookings.

Carleen Village Hall was built in 2001 to serve the needs of the local community and provide a community space for local people to engage in activities, combat isolation, and come together in an accessible venue serving the local parish.

The hall has a management committee comprised of people from Carleen and the surrounding areas, who work to ensure that the needs of local people are met through the Village Hall. The hall itself comprises of a fully self-contained kitchen, easy access, large floor space, toilets and an outdoor area with picnic benches, a large car park and places to secure bikes.

Various weekly classes areusually  open to the public such as table tennis, yoga, art, line dancing and quilting. Carleen Village Hall also offers a space for older people who are socially isolated to come together, through activities like the monthly ‘Soup and Pudding Lunch’, run by the committee to provide a homemade meal for older people and the opportunity for them to socialise on a regular basis.

Overall, the hall helps to combat the problems surrounding rural isolation and loneliness by providing a hub for the village of Carleen and surrounding areas.

In order to open the hall in these difficult times we are raising funds to buy an

Antiviral Fogger Machine. This will make the hall cleaning more effective and safer.
