In all there are three people involved in this project so far. We have been working on the website for about 4 months. The website is an ecommerce site selling Tech gadgets and computer parts. We have an agreement with a wholesaler out of Richmond BC to drop ship from their warehouse to anywhere in Canada for a flat rate of $10. At this point we have the site built with a shopping cart. We are working on finishing up a few details like the privacy agreement, shipping policies and return policies. As soon as those are done in the next few days we want to go live with the site. Once we are live we would need to start driving traffic to the site. This is where the money comes into play. We have a tentative agreement with a marketing team that has no conflicts of interest. All we would need is money to get that running and keep it going until the site can pay for itself. Our estimate for the marketing is about $10,000.
We are also looking at ordering items from overseas in large enough quantities that we can get a good price and put the CanWay Tech Shop brand on them. This phase we estimate will cost around $40,000.
We hope to raise some of the money from this crowd funding site as well as some investors.
Beyond the money we are also looking for advice and suggestions that would help to grow the business and avoid potential mistakes.
To date we have used our own money and time to build the site and to do market research to find products that sell and the price point to best sell them at.
Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
