CAMYOGA has served over 250,000 yoga classes to more than 16,000 people at three studio locations over the past 6 years.
We have also served delicious vegan food at many of our workshops and events at our Shelford studio, and have a juice and smoothie bar at all locations.
Healthy vegan food has always been a passion of ours, and this campaign is our opportunity to open not only a brand new flagship purpose built yoga studio facility, but on the same site Cambridge's first 100% vegan cafe which will serve breakfast, brunch, lunch and evening meals. Open to yogis and non-yogis alike.
Our famous raw snacks!
The CAMYOGA first yoga studio opened in central Cambridge in October 2010. It became very busy very quickly, and a second location in Great Shelford opened soon after in Oct 2012. This second location was home to our workshops and training programme, and food soon became a priority there! We took the decision to make our members cafe 100% vegan, and have built up a fantastic reputation feeding amazing healthy food to residential students and workshop attendees over the past four years.
We have always wanted to open a public cafe, and now in 2016 'Stem + Glory' has been born.
The Stem + Glory cafe at the new Mitcham's corner location will be open to all breakfast from 09.00-11.00 weekdays, a fast and fresh eat in or take away lunch 11.00-15.00 weekdays, with evening meals 17.00-21.00. We are delighted to also offer Cambridge's first American style vegan weekend brunch 10.00-15.00 Sat and Sun. Check our website for more info and sample menus www.stemandglory.uk
Louise in the new location
The yoga studio at Mitcham’s will be our biggest studio. It has been purpose built and will be home to our workshops programme as well as regular classes weekdays and evenings. We aim to serve people of all ages and abilities. We have our most popular teachers on board and this new location, as well as some new faces. We will host our big name teachers such as coming soon David Swenson and Alex Crowe, and many many more.
It is such an exciting step for us to have all this under one roof - and in such a brilliant Cambridge location.
CAMYOGA favourite Andrea K will be teaching at the new studio
Cambridge Mitcham's corner is the most happening location in Cambridge right now. With new businesses moving into the area, and massive new development going on. It is fast becoming a new cultural quarter for Cambridge, and we are delighted to be a part of it.
Helping to fund this project will bring about a beautiful refurbishment of both studios and cafe quickly and easily, and will enable us to open as soon as possible.
CAMYOGA is a nonprofit social enterprise. We are offering a series of excellent and special edition rewards in exchange for funding, but it is also possible to just simply donate to the project. Class passes or vouchers bought here can be used at any CAMYOGA location and will be valid any time from the end of this funding period. Cafe vouchers have no time limit, and can also be used to purchase cafe items at our other locations. Everyone backing this project will get their name in the 'Friends of CAMYOGA' hall of fame at the location.
By funding this project you will become part of the fabric of the building at Mitcham's and we will be delighted to have you on board!
“Sometimes, when you are walking down the street and the world and everyone in it look completely crazy, you need a retreat. To go where you are not judged or scrutinised, where people (the yoga teachers) actually care about your health. To be in a place where someone asks if you are feeling okay. CAMYOGA is that place. — J.D.
