With 1 in 5 people over the age of 75 living with sight loss, Support 4 Sight recognises the increasing need to break down the social isolation barriers for these people. Support 4 Sight want to renovate their current resource centre on George Street, Saffron Walden, into the new S4S Cafe and are in need of YOUR help! We need £7,000 to complete the work for this project and successfully open this exciting new cafe.
Cafe S4S is a cafe with a difference. Our aim is to provide a social safe space for people living with the effects of sight loss, and encourage this community to engage with others... All over coffee and cake!
The space will still be providing the same guidance and support our resource centre currently offers; However in a more relaxed, comfortable environment. This will also provide the charity with further income, in order to continue the many projects Support 4 Sight are currently involved with.
Not only will the cafe enable us to hold our regular coffee mornings which are free to our service users, it will also open up further opportunity to expand and diversify our social calendar in order to engage and enrich the lives of our visually impaired service users. The possibilities are exciting!
