Beatrice, Cecilia, Carla and their Mum left their family home and moved to Perth in May this year. The marriage broke down and Mum came to Scotland to be near her sister. Beatrice and Cecilia are twins, born prematurely, with congenital heart problems, they were both in neonatal intensive care for many months. They are 2 years old. Carla is their big sister and she is 3 years old.
A single parent with 3 children under 4 years old and no financial support from the father, she does not qualify for any government support until she has worked for 3 months and has earned at least £175.00 per week. This is very difficult when you have to look after 3 children, but her sister is helping her by sharing her own work and she will do this for the next 3 months.
No Universal Credit
No Child Benefit
No Scottish child support for children under 6
Mum is surviving on the generosity of friends, family and food banks.
Will you help? If you could donate the cost of one meal, such as Macaroni Cheese, which would only cost around £3 to feed all 4 of them, that would be amazing and would be a great help. These children are lovely, bright, cheerful and friendly and a joy to be around. The aim of this project is to keep them well-fed and healthy through the winter. Can you help keep these beautiful girls healthy and able to meet their developmental milestones this winter?
Please donate here and if you would like to add a little extra to buy them a Christmas gift, please indicate that.
On behalf of Beatrice, Cecilia, Carla and their Mum, many, many thanks and have a lovely Christmas!
