I have a background in technology, design of business and banking software solutions for various organisations. I usually work as a contractor. However, as my contract ended just at the start of the pandemic, it was then difficult to find another contract while organisations became very cautious about further hiring. I wondered what to do with my time while my wife Lydia who works as a nurse went to the front lines (in Care Homes), of course apart from taking care of the house and home school of my 14 year old daughter.
The idea them came to me, to redirect a personal project I have been working on to the service of care homes and home care businesses. That is why I went on a venture to not just built a rota system, but an end 2 end digital hiring software solution for the care sector. it will mostly help them save costs. I found it very satisfying to do something for the care sector especially in pandemic times, and will be ecstatic when it succeeds. The solution name is iStaffRota.
iStaffRota is a user-friendly software help care home and home care company save cost, streamline their hiring process and free some of their time to do what they do best which is to care for their clients/patients.
iStaffRota assists with supply of staff to care organisations and end 2 end manage for Home Care service companies users. It promotes Care Quality Commission compliance as it covers all their key lines of inquiries. Home Care and Live-in care companies would use istaffrota to service their entire end 2 end process. They can create shifts based on hourly, daily or weekly rates, remotely monitor attendance of shifts at client location, produce care assessments and care plans, perform risk assessments of care functions and activities, manage incidents and accidents , automate the time sheet process and generate invoices and payroll information, plan care and allow staff to mark them complete and add comments from the mobile app, and provide mobile monitoring of care. Staff can use iStaffRota Android and IOS apps to perform their roles. Real-time reporting and analysis is also available to managers, staff and approved third party, such as family members or social worker via their own gateway. It is a complete system for Home Care businesses and Live-in Care, or for the supply compliant staff to Care homes, but still at very affordable prices.
