All funds raised will go towards our campaign to bring a Splash Park to Biggleswade!
To provide an local community facility, to encourage young people to get out and play in a fun, sociable environment and inspire them to be happy and healthy.
In April 2015, a local father from Biggleswade, Ross Little, began a campaign to bring a Kids’ Splash Park to the town. Following the feedback received from social media sites about the need for the town to enhance its facility’s for children and families, an E-petition was created and to date has over 1,500 signatures.
Biggleswade is currently benefiting from a lot of development of both housing and a new retail park. The number of families that have moved into the area has grown substantially. This is evident by the fact that St Andrews Lower School are opening a second site in September 2015 to accommodate the growing number of children in our community.
A splash park would be a great addition to the traditional parks in Biggleswade. We can see it being used by the immediate and wider community who currently travel out of the town to other splash parks in Letchworth, Stevenage or Baldock. We want to provide a local facility for families, which in turn will also benefit the local area. The only thing the town lacks is a great facilities for families. It really is the best time to provide something our community is lacking.
A Splash Park would promote outdoor leisure and fun to our young generation giving them a positive start in social skills and sharing activities.
