Recent Completed Improvements
In 2017 the club set out a 5-year plan to improve the facilities at the club both on and off the field. The improvements made so far have included a number of major projects: the 3-lane nets, new artificial turf match wicket, a replacement tractor and the levelling and relaying of the grass match wickets.
You may be surprised to hear that this work has cost in excess of £75, 000! These projects are funded via a variety of sources: local grants, the generosity of individual donors, bar profits, membership monies and profit from dedicated fundraising events.
Future Planned Improvements
It is time to turn our attention to improvements within the clubhouse. The showers and gents WC facilities are in dire need of renovation as can be seen from the photos below.
Gents WC facilities
Main Bar Floor
The flooring within the main bar area requires replacing as there are numerous rips and tears, currently patched over.
Additional Outside Storage
Storage space is at a premium at the club and we desperately need additional storage capacity. The intention is to build storage adjacent to the umpire's room behind the clubhouse.
These projects will cost the club in the region of £12,000.
If the club can raise £6,000 through individual contributions via this Crowdfunding page, Sport England will match fund 50% of the target.
Quite simply £6,000 from BTCC and £6,000 from Sport England.
PLEASE SUPPORT THESE PROJECTS IF YOU CAN - MANY THANKS ON BEHALF OF EVERYONE AT THE CLUB
