Following a turbulent break up with his girlfriend in which she winds up smashing a mirror in a fit of rage, a man is left to pick up the shattered remains strewn across the living room floor. The mess is cleared and the living room is returned to normal. However, it doesn’t take long before he starts to find shards of broken mirror lying around the house in all manner of strange places ….
BROKEN is an intimate look at the process of dealing with a break up and the many attempts we make to forget the person we've just lost.
What needs to be done
We already have a talented team and a great script. We're still in the casting process for two roles, we decided to take our time to find the perfect actors for these parts. Once we have our budget we can liaise with the film offices to get location permits and also find a suitable indoor location, we have a few in mind but won't confirm anything just yet. Rehearsals will start a couple of weeks before the shoot. We'll also do a recce of the locations to see what camera angles work best and what equipment we'll require. Then we'll book cast, crew, locations, equipment and the shoot will only take 2-3 days.
Where the money will go
We will need to acquire permits for our outdoor locations and rent one indoor location. We will have to hire equipment in order to achieve the desired quality. We will want to be insured and pay our creatives for the incredible work that they do. All that costs money and we would be so grateful if you could help us carry that load!
Everyone who donates £10 or more will receive a private link as soon as we have completed the film!
Everyone who donates £20 or more will receive a private link as soon as we have completed the film as well as a shard of mirror with a thank you note! (these shards are plastic props from the film and not made from real glass)
Everyone who donates £30 or more will receive a private link as soon as we have completed the film, as well as a shard of mirror with a thank you note, and the opportunity to appear as an extra in the film!
