British Transplant Games Part 2

To take part in the British Transplant Games to raise awareness for more transplant donors.

We did it!

On 29th May 2017 we successfully raised £85 with 8 supporters in 28 days

I had a bone marrow transplant for leukaemia 12 years ago. I am taking part in the British Transplant Games in July in Lanarkshire.

The purpose of the games is not only to show how transplant patients can lead healthy lives but to raise awareness of the need for donors. Where games occur donor sign ups increase by 30% which helps saves lives. I was lucky to have my brother as a donor and to be here twelve years later, sadly many do not. I want to compete in the  5k and 10k bike race and 5k running. You can watch my video here

My goal is to beat the current world record, then take part in the European Transplant games and then represent the British Team in the World Transplant Games. By doing this I hope to raise more awareness and therefore more donors and more lives saved. I am very privileged to be part of the Anthony Nolan Team but the games are not just for bone arrow transplant patients but all types of transplants including lungs and heart etc.

I am raising the money to take my training to a professional level now that I have shown the determination, stamina and potential to eventually become part of the British Team. I currently train 6 days a week up to 100 miles by cycling and running.

My funding aim is for 3,150 people to donate a £1 each.

All you need to do is to change the value below the Just Donate button to £1.00

Crowdfunder take 5% plus VAT on all money raised.
