Hi Matt - we emailed you back last week, my apologies if you did not receive this. The circuit is as per the map. There are a number of tight corners on the circuit. The course has been discussed with British Cycling and they have done a full inspection of the route, they consider it to be suitable for this style of race and numbers are capped at 50. All riders will have to attend pre-race briefing and will be encouraged to pre-ride the course prior to racing. Safety is the priority for the race and full risk assessment is in place, other precautions will be taken. Thanks for your comment.

Hello, I emailed a while back about the course that the race is being held on and have had no reply. I have not competed in many races but the right hand turn into Denmark Street, along Denmark Street and on to the main road looks very dangerous for a group of racing cyclists: -Tight corner on a very narrow street -This section then opens out but then narrows again suddenly -Then when you come out onto the main road there is a lot of traffic furniture I'm concerned that this is going to cause a few crashes. Sure, the above obstacles are navigable in single file and at the appropriate speed, but as it's racing, everyone is going to want to be at the front and get through there first which will cause the issues, I am wondering if anyone else has also done a test run and cares to share their opinion? I understand that it is difficult to close roads around the centre as it will cause disruption, so I can see why the course is as it is, however it may be advisable to have a rethink. The course in the original PDF doc. for this event looked much more suitable.
