BRIK is a collective consisting of 63 photography graduates from Falmouth University. We are currently working towards our final graduate exhibition at The Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane in London. This will be held from 22nd June until 26th June as part of the Free Range Exhibition.
Until now this exhibition has been entirely self-funded, but we are looking for further support to help us achieve our goal. We are looking to receive any donations that will allow us to demonstrate our full potential as artists and photographers to the London public for the first time.
Falmouth University has allowed us to develop our practice as individual artists while also being able to collaborate and establish BRIK. Up until this point, we’ve had little chance to publicly display our work to a larger industry based audience, which is why this upcoming exhibition is a unique & vital opportunity for us.
Free range provides a platform for emerging artists, who are new to the industry and on the cusp of entering the art world. The exhibition stands out form others, as it caters to a wide audience of industry professionals, as well as receiving a large amount of media attention during the duration of its showing. This is a hugely important opportunity for us and we want to present ourselves in the best and most professional way possible.
This is a pinnacle moment, celebrating the end of our degree and allowing our hard work and efforts of the past three years to be recognised and appreciated publically.
In order to achieve this however we are dependent on donations that will support us and help achieve our goals in return for rewards that we’d like to offer in return.
Donations will pay for the transport of our work to London, equipment and materials to install the show, as well as the exhibition catalogue, posters and promotional material which help to solidify our collective as an integral part of Free Range.
Wanting to make a lasting impact once the show has ended, we are putting a lot of time and effort into the catalogue in particular. This will be used as promotion of our exhibition as well as serving as a momento of the show and allowing the exhibition to live on beyond it’s duration at The Old Truman Brewery.
In return for any donations there are a variety of exciting rewards with which we would like to express our gratitude:
- A £5 pledge will be rewarded with a personalised digital poster.
- A £10 pledge will be rewarded with 2 postcards and a BRIK sticker
- A £20 pledge will be rewarded with the above and a poster
- A £50 pledge will be rewarded with the above and a 10 x 8 print
- A £100 pledge will be rewarded with the above and an A3 limited print
