Bridge House Theatre Christmas 2015 Show

We are raising money from local business to help fund our Christmas Productions

We did it!

On 22nd Nov 2015 we successfully raised £25 with 1 supporter in 28 days

We are raising money from local business and individuals to help fund our Christmas Production at the Bridge House Theatre. At present we get no Government Funding or Private Funding and everyone involved works as volunteers.

We have set what we hope is a reasonable target - however we would love to achieve more. All funds raised will help us to continue the high quality of work the Bridge House is getting a reputation for.

The Show

It’s Christmas Eve and as Bridge House Theatre prepares for curtain up on their production of A Christmas Carol, disaster strikes meaning that Charlie and Sarah, the theatre owners, are suddenly faced with a crisis that will put their talents and fragile relationship to the test. The cast and crew are snowed out - but it’s Showtime and an audience is waiting. How can two people possibly perform all the characters and save the show? As the evening events unfold at rip roaring and comedic speed can Sarah and Charlie hold the show together, against all the odds and make it through to the final curtain call. Who knows? The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come? Whatever happens, the show must and will go on!

Described as a mixture of Noises Off, Stones in his Pockets and A Christmas Carol, A Christmas Carol...More or Less is a joyfully silly seasonal romp with all the warmth and charm of the Dickens tale.

Who we are

Bridge House Theatre SE20, spearheaded by Guy Retallack, his actress wife, Rachel Tucker (currently starring as Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway) and their long-term collaborator Rob Harris. Is rapidly acquiring a reputation for quality work. Recent credits include the London premiere of Nottingham Playhouses’ Tony’s Last Tape, a specially commissioned Pantomime, the inaugural Penge Festival and It’s a Wonderful Life, currently touring the UK.

What the money raised will go towards

100% money raised will be spent on the actual physical production and will go towards much needed extra lighting as well as enhancing the overall look of the production.
