Brexit- The reality they don’t see (a working title) will be my first ever exhibition of exploring the different diaspora communities in the UK and how the challenge the 52:48 brexit idea (foreigners are on benefits, taking away from the community instead of helping etc) I have dreamt about show caseing my work for a long time now.
I have a portfolio worthy to display and a great team around me who are helping me put things together.
The exhibition won’t just be a contemporary photography show, it plans to fully immerse your perceptions of the world we currently live in. The images will captivate your attention not because of the larges scales images but a combination of my passion for photography, love of people and current affairs.
To make the exhibition a reality, I am asking for people to get involved with the project by donating or some form of sponsorship. Although I work within the financial world- I am not well of and do not pretend to be- I just have a dream and an idea that I would like to see come alive.
In return for sponsorship, I can offer a few rewards ranging from prints to photoshoots to love on social media and tickets for a preview evening. People have been so kind to me throughout my photography journey and I consider the exhibition as being not just for me but for everyone who's supported or encouraged me over the last few years.
I'm currently on the hunt for a venue in London to host the exhibition but am also looking for help with printing/framing my work, display boards, advertising, lighting + food, drink and maybe a little music for an opening preview evening. These are the main things donations will be put towards. If you'd rather not donate and would be happy to contribute in any other way, please get in touch.
At the moment, I'm thinking the exhibition will be short, a minimum of 3 nights/2 days (over a long weekend) to a maximum of 10 days. Hopefully in December or most likely January next year.
I plan to approach local radio stations to help promote the exhibition, alongside promotion on my own social media feeds. I'll also have flyers printed for local galleries and shops around. All major sponsors will be mentioned and have names/company logos displayed on promotional adverts/leaflets.
This is an all or nothing crowdfunding project... if the target amount isn't achieved, those who've donated will receive their money back and the project not funded.
