Borehamwood charity turkey raffle is back for the 3rd year!
Simply buy a raffle ticket to be in with a chance of winning your Christmas turkey - a locally and ethically raised Wrolstad Bronze turkey. All money raised will go towards Borehamwood Foodbank, situated at 291 Shenley Road.
Entries will close at midnight on Monday 30th November with the winner being announced very shortly after to allow time for any unlucky runners up to get to a shop and buy an alternative turkey!
If you’d rather not have the turkey, that’s OK, you can still contribute to an important cause to help those less fortunate.
The initiative was introduced in 2016 and so far almost £2,000 has been raised! The last turkey raffle raised £805 which was enough to kit out a new storage facility with much needed shelving to accommodate the growing demands on the foodbank.
Raffle tickets are just £5 so just donate in multiple's of 5 to increase your chances of winning e.g £5 = 1 raffle entry, £10 = 2 raffle entries etc.
Please ensure you choose the option to be contactable so you can be notified if you win.
The turkeys expected size and quality would cost you in the region of £70-£80 from a quality butcher or farm shop!
