About the project
How do you let go, when power's all you know?
'Blighters' is an original film written and directed by Fred Kelly. It is a political allegory bemoaning governmental inadequacies of the early 19th Century Conservative Parliamentarians directly inspired by the Doolough tragedy. Set entirely in a run down mansion - Gorta Mor - this absurd short film follows Lord Mor (Louis Strong) in his bizarre quest over the course of one evening to secure a successor to his line of potato farming ancestry. (Set abstract 20th Century).
The main aim of the project is to enter the short film into many short film festivals in 2016, recieivng recongition for what we hope will be a success. The short film will also be sold on iTunes.
Who we are
Santamana Pictures......is an independent, dynamic new film production company based in London, England.Founded by Louis Strong and Fred Kelly in 2015, the duo have teamed up to bring together their modern and fresh acting, writing and producing abilities. Santamana Pictures is committed to discovering unmarked individuals with the potential to create exciting and current art. Santamana Pictures is currently pursuing its first project; a 30-minute short film called ‘Blighters’.
