"Blame" aims to show the trauma people can go through after losing someone close; be it a relative, partner, or a friend. It will show the dark side of struggling with mental health and what the consequences could be for not getting the help they need.
Who is the director and why are you making this film?
My name is Nathalie Ekström and I am a film student at Staffordshire University. "Blame" will be my first project of second year after a successful run last year with one of my earlier films being screened at several festivals.
Growing up I've witnessed first hand what losing someone special could do to a person's mental health. It's a heartbreaking experience which could bring out dark thoughts and make it hard to function in other relationships and society. I hope this film will bring awareness to how important it is to get help after a traumatic experience, and that the people around someone affected know to help them with this.
Where will the money go?
- £200 to pay actors. As this film will tackle a dark subject it needs professional actors who can portray all the emotions involved.
- £150 Props & Costumes. To make this film as realistic as possible different sets of costumes as well as props are needed.
- £100 Transport. This film is set in several different locations and transport is needed to get cast and crew between the different sets.
- £50 Catering. To make sure cast and crew stay positive and hard working food and drinks are needed on set.
This film will be fully funded by crowdfunding and myself which means that every contribution is worth millions, be it £1, £5, £10 or £100. All contributions will be put towards the film.
