Raising funds for a legal appeal against the RSPB, who have abused their position by prosecuting me when I’ve done all I can to help them.

by Paul Barnes in Braithwaite, Cumbria, England

I am a Cumbrian farmer, teacher and award-winning conservationist. The RSPB brought a criminal prosecution against me for disturbing ospreys, which have nested right next to our fields for years. I have done loads to protect the birds while the RSPB and others have made money from over a million visitors coming to watch them.

We’re seeking money to fund an appeal for legal fees and costs in case we fail to overturn the conviction. If we win, any surplus will be given to children’s education charities.

We are desperate for our side of the story to be given a fair hearing.

We have had a tough couple of years after floods etc. and need support to take on the RSPB and show them that we won’t be pushed around. Please help.

Let's make 'Bird Charity Bullies' happen
