The centre has been open since the summer of 2014 and we have now had over 10,000 visits. We have a mixture of schools, other organisations and family groups come and spend time with us, either for the day or for longer. They get to enjoy our fabulous location next to the sea, spend time with each other and take part in the activities that we offer.
Until now our facilities have consisted of a campsite, a meeting room and changing rooms but for a while we have wanted to build a bunkhouse, which would allow for year round visits and warm dry accommodation beyond the summer months. We raised funds for the bunkhouse and have saved by completing nearly all of the work ourselves but we need additional funds to start the second phase which would add a second social space as well as a dining room and kitchen adjacent to the new accommodation. This makes the space more usable and more attractive therefore to the the range of groups that benefit from visiting us.
