Hi, we are really proud of our coastal town, Bude. So, we are hoping to raise £750 towards #BigUpBude Talent which will showcase local talent of all ages from the wider Bude community to include musicians, singers, comedians, etc.
We passionately believe that #BigUpBude Talent will appeal to, and bring together, a huge number of people of all ages for two evenings of great entertainment.
We feel that lots of local people will be inspired and excited by this event.
We wish to bring together the community: cheering on entrants, getting people talking about the acts they see, and maybe to give home-grown talent a head start on their path to success.
The whole community can be involved in supporting friends and family in a friendly, competition, where the enthusiasm will be infectious. The venue will be our local community school to encourage the involvement of Bude’s young people.
Our Inspiration:
We were inspired by this idea because:
- we want to see community cohesion, everyone coming together to enjoy themselves, with good, clean fun for the whole family, from young children to the young at heart
- to give local people the opportunity to showcase their talents
- to bring the community closer together, to support and celebrate our local home-grown talent
- and, though this event, to raise money for a good cause, namely Bude’s iconic Sea Pool charity, which is close to the hearts of local people
#BigUpBudeTalent is a flagship event, so it is our intention that this will be followed by a similar event each year.
So, please make a donation to support and establish #BigUpBude Talent, so we can create an annual community event, thereby raising even more money for good causes.
The Competition
Entrants will be asked to send in 1 minute snapshot video auditions which will lead to semi-final and final shows. Additionally, in a spirit of inclusion, we will hold live auditions for those who cannot access the technology.
The entrants, will be competing for a trophy as well as a first prize of performing, for example, at a local festival, at The Hall for Cornwall or at the Holsworthy Comedy Club.
