The Little Princess Trust provides free real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.
Last year I decided that towards the end of 2020 I would donate 7 inches of my hair to charity. After suffering with a thyroid condition for the last 5 years, I've had multiple rounds of hair thinning and hair loss. As someone who has always had long hair this was quite an emotional thing to go through. It made me think, if this is how it feels as a grown woman, I can't imagine how upsetting it must feel for children and their loved ones.
Having heard about the charity a number of times I thought it would be the perfect one for me to show some personal support.
It costs the charity on average £550 to create a wig, therefore I'm aiming to raise £225, which will then be doubled by my company - giving this long hair a very good home!
Any amount you can donate however big or small will be greatly appreciated to support this wonderful charity.
