Beads of Hope is a string of larger-than-life beads that will trail through different countries and continents. Human connections are like a string of beads, each one connected to another by a thread of hope. Beads too are like seeds that with nurturing will grow to become tomorrow’s regeneration.
Beads will be 3D printed with filament made from plastic medical waste collected during the COVID-19 pandemic, then decorated by respected artists to themes prevalent to the different participating country’s development agendas, hopes and wishes. Beads will be set on prominent display in the various host countries that then form a virtual display as they are strung together in unison around the globe. Beads at conclusion of display are auctioned with proceeds supporting the function of the project and main portion going to needy communities in the host countries.
To see communities re-energized and re-engaged living a better life.
Helping people to overcome today’s difficulties for an improved tomorrow.
We achieve this by:
- Linking people with renewed purpose for improved overall well-being
- Inspiring awareness by overcoming community barriers and access to equality and inclusivity
- Reinforcing the UN Sustainability Development Goals
- Educating environment and climate change concerns
- Transforming waste into value
- Bridging cultural differences
Beads of Hope are symbolic of re-activation, re-engagement, re-energizing and reviving communities with a collective objective of bringing hope and optimism for a better future.
A renewed community spirit; and an understanding that we are all connected.
The raised finance from crowdfunding will initiate the launch with website and PR plus the initial collection and production of beads.
