Aim to improve the Beacon Cove visitor experience by creating a welcoming entrance with smart sign and and some historical information.

We want to upgrade the historical Beacon Cove that has lost a bit of its charm. It used to be the ladies bathing beach in Agatha Christie's time and she used to enjoy bathing there. We are working closely with the council and have plans for an impressive entrance and  welcome sign, by Enigma Signs of Paignton, on an improved,  landscaped location. There will also be some plaques with local history.covering the former ladies bathing beach that forms a part of he Agatha Christie Mile. There will also be information about the GeoPark, sea grass  and the former Lifeboat Station.

This is an area that has been neglected and is in need of some TLC for the benefit of local families and school children  who visit Beacon Cove and to impress visitors to Torquay, who pass by when using the car park for Regattas and when visiting the Royal Torbay Yacht Club.

Beacon Cove is also used by the Youth Sailing Trust that has a storage for their paddle boards and sail boards.
