Third time lucky! Third time round I am determined to compete in the Ironman World Championships and get a place on the podium.

Hello,

Thank you for visiting my crowdfunder page.

My name is Corinne, aka Cozza. I am a triathlete and in 2018 I qualified for the 2019 Ironman World Championships. My goal and my dream is to become the best athlete in my age group this year at the World Championships and beyond that, to race with a professional status in 2020.

The World Championships is based in Kona, Hawaii so it is not exactly going to be a cheap trip!

I have created this page with the hope that I will receive enough support to be able to get there and compete in the biggest race of my life so far.

Third time lucky! This is the third time I have qualified for the Ironman World Championships but the first time it may be a reality. Due to lack of finance and then a broken neck I am determined this is my year!

A few of my racing highlights as a triathlete:

2018

- Wales Ironman: 1st place in age group. 1st non-professional Female. Qualified for Ironman World Championships.

- Triathlon X, World's toughest extreme triathlon: 3rd finisher. 1st Female.

2013

- Wales Ironman: 2nd place in age group. Qualified for Ironman World Championships

- Bolton Ironman: 1st place in age group. Qualified for Ironman World Championships

An average week of training for me is 22 hours and I receive invaluable support and guidance from a triathlon team called "Vitfor". They offer online training programmes which has helped me get as far as I have today.

The journey to where I am now has been very emotional and has definitely felt like a roller coaster. In 2012 I qualifed for the Ironman World championships but couldn't afford to go, then in 2013 I had qualified again but sadly I could not go due to braking my neck in an bicycle accident leading up to it.

It took a while to recover but then I decided to take up bike racing as I thought my dream of going to Kona would never happen. Throughout 3 years of bike racing, I again, suffered many crashes which every time made me even more hungry to succeed. I decided in 2018 to go back to triathlon and try one more time to get to Kona. I achieved at Ironman Wales, not only winning my age group but also becoming first non professional female over the finish line. My dream was in sight once again!

Your contribution would be much appreciated, allowing me to follow my dream of standing on the podium at the Ironman World Championships 2019.
