- Fund ancillary costs for 2020
- Fund preseason costs for 2021
- this will enable the club to organise itself for continuing its existence going forwards.
We are urgently raising funds through Crowdfunder to help Basford Mill Cricket Club survive. Every pound counts and we need to raise £1000+.

Basford Mill Cricket Club has been in existence for 32 years, and we play cricket in the Gunn & Moore South Nottinghamshire League ( 2 teams) and in the Mansfield District Cricket League ( Sunday team). We have a small junior section. Our ground is situated off Hucknall Road, Nottingham.
In 2019 we utilised the majority of our surplus funds to repair our artificial cricket wicket and fix our main outfield mower to enable us to have facilities for continuing to play cricket.
As we are a small and relatively poor inner city club , most of our income and recovery of our costs are through match subs and annual membership fees from playing cricket.
As a result of the unprecedented COVID pandemic, we have not been able to train together, nor meet up, not allowed to play till at least the 1st August (probably not at all this season) and hence we are struggling to pay bills and maintain our pitches.
We have asked all our players to pay at least 50% of their annuals plus donate what they can, but this will not be enough to fund our ongoing expenses and a number of our players have been furloughed and hence money is very tight for some.
The purpose of this crowdfund is to help Basford Mill Cricket Club survive the 2020 cricket season and be in good shape for the start of 2021 cricket season.
In addition we have lost £600 of sponsorship from a local pub (COVID19), £300 of Pitch Hire fees from another local club and our main fundraiser Bozfest is at risk of not happening due to social distancing measures.
So whether you are a player, relation or friend of a player, an ex player, supporter of the club or a wider cricket lover, anything you can afford to donate or pledge will be greatly appreciated.
Yours in Cricket
Basford Mill Cricket Club.
