We did it

New stretch target

Banners, insignia and posters for display in shop windows; materials which could be recycled in the run-up to the London Mayoral and Assembly elections on 7 May 2020.

This year, the Green Party achieved its best ever election results in the UK.  We've doubled our MEPs and more than doubled our army of local authority Green councillors.

Our local membership is continuing to rise because young people are looking for an alternative to austerity politics and the chaos of Brexit.  Affordable social housing, green jobs and apprenticeships, cuts to carbon emissions and protection of parks and green spaces are high on our agenda. Greens tackle the inconvenient truths and offer solutions, not sticking plasters. With your help, our positive message will reach a wider audience.

We have four brilliant candidates who want to stand for Parliament in the general election; Shannon Butterfield (Barking), Azzees Minott (Dagenham & Rainham), Peter Caton (Hornchurch & Upminster) and David Hughes (Romford), so everyone in our four East London constituencies will have the chance to vote G r e e n on Thursday 12 December 2019. That said, we need to raise at least £1,000 to make sure an election leaflet is delivered to every household in our constituencies.

Members, supporters and action groups we've helped know that volunteers run our local Green campaigns and seldom ask for financial help. However, the cost of designing and printing thousands of leaflets for this, our third general election in under 5 years, will leave us with a short-fall, so please consider making a small contribution towards our printing bill.

Fairness and equality don't seem to exist within our electoral system at present. We don't have corporate funding like some political parties and we refuse to accept money from unethical sources. Most of our local funding comes from membership and individual donations like yours, so please chip in whatever you can spare, so that we can be an even stronger voice in Barking, Dagenham and Havering.

Thanks for taking the time to look at our project and also for your support. Every little helps. Your contribution is very much appreciated!
