COVID-19 is affecting most businesses and we would like to support a specific industry - Barbers.
Not only has this been hard for the public who are unable to get a haircut, but more specifically for barbers who face a very uncertain future with the possibility of shops closing and distrust due to social distancing regulations.
I have been a self-employed digital marketing consultant for 5 years and together with my business partner Archie Gibson who comes from an IT background. Feel we can help the industry and more importantly individual barbers by offering a home barber platform in which the barber will pay a small monthly fee of £150 (£150 - £500 less than renting a chair at a barbershop) to create an account on our site - www.barberdispatch.com - where customers can book barbers at their convenience for a home haircut.
The barber can personalise their price list and receive reviews on the site as well as being constantly marketed on our social media accounts where we will be running paid advertisements in their target area to increase booking for them. Areas will be limited to a certain amount of barbers to allow barbers signed up to receive more clients. All booking are pre-paid through the platform with 100% of the cost going straight to the barber ( - payment fees).
Booking a barber is very easy and allows you to work around busy lifestyles without having to wait for hours at the Barbershop. This service will help the industry as it alleviates inevitable strict social distancing rules within shops.
Barbers will be provided with branded aprons as well as re-usable masks. They will also be able to track booking to help with accounting admin.
We want to offer this platform nationwide but will start with the East Midlands to prove the concept.
previously only the rich and famous would use a home barber, but we are able to offer the service to everyone.
